Creating a Business Process Category |

A business context model (BCM) is made up of BCM components that include:
- Business Partners,
- Business Partner Categories, and
- Business Process Categories
A business process category (also called business functions) contains all the business processes that belong to a functional group. Examples of business process categories include all production related processes, all sales related processes, all finance related processes and so on.
- Select a starting point and select
(Business Process Category) to create a business process category. The Untitled Business Process Category-Business Process Category window appears. - Click the Attached Processes tab and click
. The Select Business Process dialog box appears displaying a list of existing business process models. - In the Select Business Process dialog box, select the required business process and click OK. The selected business process model is attached to the current business process category.
- Click the Annotation tab and type additional notes or comments on the business process category, if any.
- Click
on the toolbar. The new business process category is added to the project content tree in Workspace Documents.
You have successfully created a business process category.
